On 20 Feb 2025, WHO and UNICEF, representing the Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines (GPACCM), officially handed over essential childhood cancer medicines to Hon. Minister Pradip Paudel of the Ministry of Health and Population. These medicines will be further distributed to four hospitals.
A joint initiative of WHO and St. Jude's Research Hospital, the Global Platform aims to supply quality-assured cancer medicines to low and middle-income countries including #Nepal, with the aim to improve childhood cancer survival rate in the country.
